Disable welcome emails

This feature is only available to organization owners and administrators.

Zulip sends a handful of emails to new users when they join, telling them their Zulip account details, and introducing them to the Zulip app. You can disable these emails if they don't make sense for your organization. If you do so, you will need to inform users how to log in to their Zulip accounts.

Disable welcome emails

  1. Click on the gear () icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app.

  2. Select Organization settings.

  3. On the left, click Organization settings.

  4. Under Automated messages and emails, toggle Send emails introducing Zulip to new users.
